After pulling the Mikuni TM33SS carburetor out of my 1990 Suzuki DR350 it was pretty clear this old carb needed some love. While exploring some options for cleaning it I stumbled across a lot of talk about using Pine-Sol for a nice budget degreaser.
My 24 year-old Suzuki DR350 needed a paint job and some major refinishing. Granted, it took over two decades of abuse on the factory paint job like a champ, but the rust spots, corrosion and touch-ups had this dirt bike frame looking pretty worn. Nothing we can’t fix with some hard work and powerful chemicals though, right?
The DR350 is currently getting a complete overhaul, and I just did some simple color tests in Photoshop to play with colors. The bike still has 24-year-old factory paint on it along with plenty of rusty bits, so the frame is getting stripped & repainted along with the body panels and gas tank.
I picked up this 1990 Suzuki DR350 enduro on Craigslist for a sweet price along with a ton of spare parts. This is the dirt-only model. Runs strong and has a Big Gun exhaust, Excel rim & Race Tech spring. Needs a little love and I have a new Summer project. Okay, it’s 24 years old, but it’s new to me.
